Mozilla Thunderbird Email Setup Instructions
Use these detailed, step-by-step instructions to set up Mozilla Thunderbird to work with your personalized email account provide by EmailAddressStore.com. Mozilla Thunderbird can be setup to access your email messages using POP or IMAP.
The main information you will use is:
User Name: your full email address, ie You@YourDomainName
Password: as you setup
Incoming mail server for POP3 accounts: pop.secureserver.net, or
Incoming mail server for IMAP accounts: imap.secureserver.net
Incoming server port for POP 3 accounts: port 110, or
Incoming server port for IMAP accounts: port 143, or if you have SSL enabled, use 993.
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtpout.secureserver.net
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) requires authentication - it does not require "secure password authentication (SPA)".
Here's how to setup Thunderbird to send and receive your email messages:
- From the Tools menu, select Account Settings
- In the window that pops-up, select Add Account
- In the New Account Setup window, select Email Account and then click Continue
- In the Identity window, enter your Name and Email Address, and then click Continue
- For Server Information, select the account type, either POP or IMAP
- In the Incoming Server box, enter pop.secureserver.net
- In the Outgoing Server box, enter smtpout.secureserver.net
- In User Names, enter your full email address for incoming and outgoing username; and then click Continue
- For Account Name, enter what you'd like this email account to be know by, and then click Continue
- On the Congratulations screen, review your account information and verify that it's accurate; and then click Done
