Who is the owner of the domain name that I register to use for my email address?
You are the registrant (the owner) of any domain name that you register with us or transfer to us. As the registrant, you use your password protected online control panel for complete control or all aspects of the domain name. This including contact information, forwarding, name servers, email addresses, etc. You can do anything you want with your domain name... sell it, transfer it, renew it, let it expire, etc.
How do I send and receive my email messages?
You can send and receive your email using
your internet browser and our web mail system (which is similar to Hotmail, Yahoo Mail or Google Gmail) or
your cell phone with internet access and our mobile mail system or
an email program such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Safari, Opera, etc.
You can even choose to have your mail forwarded to an existing email account you have... perhaps one provided by your ISP, AOL etc.
What about virus filtering?
All of our email accounts include a state-of-the-art virus protection system which automatically blocks infected email attachments that may damage your computer with destructive viruses. Virus scanning occurs every time our servers receive an incoming attachment. Virus protection is in place for both web mail and POP3 email clients so that any email messages that contain an infected attachment are automatically blocked.
Do you provide spam filtering?
Yes, another integrated feature of our email accounts is a spam filter. This service screens incoming mail at our servers, before the email messages are delivered to you. More than just a filter, it's a sophisticated new technological solution that detects and eliminates spam before you have to deal with it.
Is fraud protection provided?
Yes, our advanced fraud protection program effectively protects you from phishing schemes by detecting and intercepting phishing schemes and other fraudulent email messages before they reach your inbox. We detect phishing schemes by examining the links embedded in incoming mail messages. If a link appears to be pointing to legitimate site, but in fact leads to a fraudulent destination; the message will be considered fraudulent and thus intercepted.
